News: Dr. Freda V. Crews, host of Time for Hope, a weekly faith-based mental health talk television show designed to help people find hope and meaning in their lives; and Focus on the Family® recently interviewed Kimberly on the subject of negative self-image and eating disorders, based on her book, I'm Beautiful? Why Can't I See It?

Kimberly was featured in April on Time for Hope. The Focus on the Family® interview will be featured on an upcoming quarterly audio CD as part of their Focus On Your Child® ministry (which has over 300,000 members) dedicated to helping parents raise healthy, confident and well-adjusted children. The CD is expected to come out fall 2008.

Kimberly is the Founder of Olive Branch Outreach, an outreach ministry that addresses body image and eating disorders.
She is a licensed minister of pastoral care to women at Molalla Church of the Nazarene.
She is a writer and author. Her articles have appeared in two dozen magazines. She is a contributing author to the books Chicken Soup for the Recovering Soul, Forever His, Wounded By Words, and The One Year Life Devotional. Her book, I'm Beautiful? Why Can't I See It? Daily Encouragement to Promote Healthy Eating and Positive Self-Esteem, with a foreword by Gregory L. Jantz, PH.D., is available on her website, Amazon.com or WalMart.com, and independent Christian booksellers.
COMING THIS FALL: "I'm God's Girl? Why Can't I Feel It? Daily Biblical Encouragement to Defeat Depression & the Blues." It is a 365-day healing devotional study that addresses the spiritual aspects of depression and the blues.
She is presently working towards a Specialized Masters degree in Pastoral Care to Women at Western Seminary, Portland, Oregon, and is a Guest Instructor at Western Seminary on the subject of Eating Disorders and Body Image.
Kimberly is a volunteer at Coffee Creek Correctional Facility for women.
She is a field speaker for Stonecroft Ministries, an international evangelistic organization.
Kimberly earned a BA degree from Univ. of Iowa in Health Sciences, Nutrition, and Business Marketing.
Born in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Kimberly has lived in Iowa, New York, London, outside Chicago, and Los Angeles.
Today Kimberly lives outside of Portland, Oregon on a small ranch with her husband and many critters.
